Sportsmetrics ®

The American College of Sports Medicine recently stated that enrolling kids in strengthening and conditioning programs could prevent 50 percent of youth sports injuries. An estimated 30,000 high school and college-age female athletes will injure their knees this year alone.

Offered by the Institute of Rehab Health and Fitness, is the first and only scientifically proven training program specifically designed to decrease serious knee ligament injuries and improve athletic performance.

Institute of Rehab Health and Fitness features four components of Sportsmetrics® training:

  • Dynamic Warm-up activities help increase blood flow to the muscles as they improve flexibility, balance and coordination.

  • Plyometrics/Jump training helps the athlete develop muscle control and strength, reducing the risk of knee injury and increasing jump height.

  • Strength training emphasizes body alignment and form, with a focus on development of core strength and improved muscular efficiency.

  • Flexibility exercises help athletes achieve maximum muscle length so muscles work with maximum power through their entire range of motion, reducing injury and post-training muscle soreness.
